Asset-based lending in real estate means capital is secured by tangible property or real estate-related collateral, such as mortgage notes, multifamily assets, single-family homes, commercial properties, mobile home parks, or tax liens. For investors, this can create a more collateral-focused alternative to unsecured investments, with income generated from underlying payment streams and professionally managed assets.
